Antiqua with its population structure and distribution on discrete banks of the Ancud Bay over a time series spanning 26 years using data obtained through the monitoring of the fishing activity. To this goal a selection and characterization of the main fishing grounds was undertaken and the resulting georeferenced data was used for the simulation of recruitment dynamics using the Mike 3 3D software framework. The simulation included testing different scenarios for particle dispersal, with a permanency of 25-30 days in the water column (approximately the period of the larval phase of V. antiqua) with and without diel vertical migration and the releasing from the bottom and spring period. The results of both scenarios were similar in the sense that both pointed towards low dispersion from the releasing source says more closely on stage with diel vertical migration. The results were consistent with the population characteristics of the bank, showing different patterns in recruitment for the age group 3, which is the age of recruitment used throughout historical monitoring. The absence of correlation of the recruitment patterns among banks led to hypothesize that V. antiqua is structure as a metapopulation in the Bay of Ancud resulting from the modeled hydrodynamic coupling patterns. We conclude that the functioning of the metapopulation structure is disrupted by overexploitation.esAtribución-NoComercial-CompartirIgual 3.0 Chile (CC BY-NC-SA 3.0 CL)ANCUDDISPERSION LARVALSOBREEXPLOTACION PESQUERAHIBDRODINAMICAV.
